The links on the left contain more information about area attractions that are within an hour's drive from Driftwood Shores, or are day trips from here. We've provided a few small photographs, where available. In addition, there are other things to do: Take a hike along the Manistique Boardwalk that runs along the lake shore and stretches from the downtown Marina, past the lighthouse, and on east for over a mile. It's an easy walk, level and smooth, with beautiful scenery. For the adventuresome, there's always the Kewadin Casino. The new casino has both slot machines and table games. It's approximately 1-1/2 to 2 miles east of Manistique. Shuttle service is available from Driftwood Shores. Mead Forest Products maintains a self-guided Auto Tour through nearby reforested lands. The drive is about 4-1/2 miles long with points of interest marked and described in the tour brochure. Don't be surprised if you run into any of our local residents. You might see a deer, bear, fox, wolf, or porcupine; and don't forget the skies--there are grouse and sharp-shinned hawks about, to name just a few.
